09-08-26: Tekkali by-election is scheduled on 10th September and all parties are getting their ammunition ready. According to the political observers, it will be a tough fight between the TDP, Congress and PRP. Each party has their solid vote bank and who will emerge winner is a million dollar question. Congress party already fielded leaders Dharmana Prasad Rao, Vatti Vasanth Kumar and Shatrucharla Vijayrama Raju for canvassing and getting the sympathy wave converted to votes. TDP on the other hand wants to win the seat to prove again that people are with them and they are the only alternative to the Congress party in the state. Chiranjeevi has taken this election prodigiously and already started canvassing in Tekkali. He is confident of winning the seat and rejuvenate the party cadre with the win.
All in all the by-election is set to create lot of interest among people as to see which way the people are swinging after 3 months of general elections.
